In the afternoon, slow the pace with a traditional sampan ride through Van Long, the largest wetland nature reserve in the Northern Delta. Unlike many other waterways in Ninh Binh, Van Long is known for its peaceful atmosphere and untouched landscapes, where calm waters mirror towering limestone mountains and wildlife thrives in its natural habitat before heading back to the hotel. At Le Clos du Fil, allow yourself to enjoy the rest of the day with a refreshing drink by the pool or simply exploring the surrounding village by bicycle.

- Visit the atelier and learn about the traditional hand embroidery of Vietnam.
- Try using a needle and threads to embroider designs onto fabric.

The journey begins with an early morning at Hang Mua (Mua Caves), where a rewarding climb reveals sweeping views over Tam Coc's limestone valleys and rice fields. From here, continue the experience from a different angle, on a traditional sampan ride along the Ngo Dong River, drifting between towering karst formations and peaceful waterways that have become one of Ninh Binh's most recognisable landscapes. At noon, stop at a local restaurant to enjoy Vietnamese flavours before continuing to discover another side of Ninh Binh.

In the afternoon, visit the historic Bich Dong Pagoda, a centuries-old temple quietly nestled into the limestone mountains, before continuing to Thung Nham Bird Park. Home to thousands of birds and surrounded by forests, caves and wetlands, this peaceful nature reserve offers a quieter and more intimate side of Ninh Binh. Return to Le Clos du Fil in the late afternoon and spend the rest of the day at your leisure, whether unwinding by the pool, enjoying a refreshing drink or strolling through the village by bicycle.
